When looking for a dog trainer for my 6 month old Bassett Hound puppy, Hogey, I wanted to make sure I found a trainer who understood my particular breed of dog. They are well known to be stubborn and difficult to train due to their instinctive nature. I chose Chad Arberg and Pawsitive Canine Dog Training as Chad takes his time to explain the exact steps in the training process and the training does not seem to be the least bit rushed.

Within a few short sessions Hogey no longer runs ahead when walking and he has even learned the "place" command! I would recommend Chad and Pawsitive Dog Canine Dog Training to anyone looking for a skilled and talented dog trainer.

My husband and I have 2 little yorkies that had absolutely taken over our house, trust me when I say size does not matter when it comes to a misbehaving dog!  After speaking of my frustrations with my little guys to a friend of mine (whose dogs are always perfect mind you) he told me about Chad Arberg and Pawsitive Canine Dog Training.

My friend just raved about what an incredible job Chad had done training his dogs and how beneficial and positive his new relationship with his dogs was now.  So of course I called right away, Chad came to my house with his amazing dog Loki and gave us a demonstration.  He watched our dogs and their behavior and told us how he could help us.. And that he did!!  I was very nervous about my little guys leaving and not being in an environment that was not similar to home and he assured me that they would get lots of love and cuddle time along with their training.

He even allowed them to sleep with him and his dogs since my guys had never been in a kennel before!  He stayed in close contact with me, to keep me informed of their progress and how they were doing.  When they came home I was absolutely blown away!! Their personalities had not changed at all, but they were on their best behavior!  The training that Chad instilled in my little guys was just the biggest blessing to our lives and our home!!

They were not only house broken, Chad knew we lived in an apartment so he trained them to go outside on the patio in a little grass box! That was incredible!  Words cant even describe how amazingly trained they were, they stayed right by my side when we went for a walk around the city, they listened to every word I said and were incredibly attentive! Chad also maintained a relationship with us, checking in periodically to make sure they were still behaving.  As time went on, me and my husband found out that we were not only expecting, we were expecting twins!...and I was concerned about how my dogs would behave around babies.  So we called Chad and he took them for a couple weeks and "baby proofed" them.

It gave me a little bit of a break from them being as I was huge and exhausted (and I knew how well taken care of and loved they would be while staying with him) but when they came back, they were so attentive to the babies, they were trained to be aware of not only the babies but they stayed off of the baby blankets as well and were incredibly aware of boundaries!  I couldn't be more pleased and thankful for everything Chad has done for my family and our little pups!  His training and his kenneling care has truly been a blessing for my family!  Whenever we travel he is the first person we call to take care of our little guys, and we always know not only are they greatly cared for, they come back having had a refresher course!  Chad we cant thank you enough!!

My husband and I chose Chad Arberg and Pawsitive Canine Dog Training to train our dogs based on a glowing recommendation from a close friend.  We were more than pleased with the support and training we received for our two dogs and have noticed great improvement in their behavior (and our ability to communicate properly with them).

Additionally, we have been kenneling our dogs with Chad for almost two years and refuse to go to anyone else.  Firstly, the care the dogs receive is top notch and I feel safe knowing they are with someone who knows their personalities (since he helped train them) and who cares so well for animals.  The dogs always come home happy, healthy, and exhausted from all the play time and attention they receive.  The kenneling with Chad is so much better than many of the other options that limit the dogs’ activity to one or two walks a day and maybe some play time.  At Pawsitive Canine they have room to run and play with other dogs and I feel certain they get more personal attention than they do at typical kenneling facilities.  We have personally seen the difference in our dogs – they LOVE to get picked up for kenneling and are excited as soon as they see Chad.

We can’t say enough about the level of support and service we receive from Pawsitive Canine.

What a difference a dog trainer makes!

I cant believe two years ago we almost got rid of our beloved dog Skipper a 125+lbs Lab mix.

This is my story: My husband and I actually have two lovely dogs Skipper Stains and Little King Charles. Both were night and day. Skipper Stains was out of control and little King Charles is a calm and reserved little guy.

I am not embarrassed to say that Skipper wasn't the best trained of all dogs.
He would run away in a heart beat, bark and attack people, wouldn't listen to any commands and always did his own thing.  Basically, turning our household up side down.

Both my husband and I had our breaking point when Skipper attacked King Charles and nearly cost him his life. So after that, we decided to do some dog training research. We luckily found Chad at Pawsitive Canine.  In just one hour chad changed  our  lives and saved our household .

As we continued with the program and followed all of Chad's training expertise, we now have the  best dog in town! After following the dog training  course with Chad our family was once again and to this day very happy!

People are amazed at Skipper now.  He heals, walks without a leash , stays, looks both ways before crossing streets and most of all loves
his  little brother. To this day he is always ready to learn something new!

From being the most out of control dog to becoming an amazing canine,  Skipper is completely trained and there isn't anything he can't and won't do for us!

All of this is a tribute to Chad and his ability and patience for what he does.
So  please don't give up on your dog, its so worth it!

Calling Pawsitive Canine is still the best investment I have ever made! I have peace and harmony again and a very proud owner of a once misunderstood dog who now rules at my command. So to all of you please don't let yourself suffer or most of all your pet!

Thanks Chad your the best!!!!!!!!!

Skipper Stains and Honey Bun

When my husband, Glen, and I bought two puppies both destined to exceed 150 pounds a piece, we knew we had our work cut out for us.  It didn't take long before Helo, our Swiss Mountain Dog, was walking me instead of the other way around!  We couldn't take him anywhere without him barking and trying to drag us all over the place!  Dozer, our English Mastiff, was not much better!

Chad came to our house to give a free demo on Helo and Dozer.  It was AMAZING!  Within two minutes of putting the collars on them, he had them following basic commands they had never performed in their lives!

Melissa, Helo, and DozerOver the next several weeks, we did many training sessions in a variety of places.  We trained at home, at the dog park, the dog beach...anywhere we wanted to work, Chad would travel to!  Helo and Dozer learned to wait until called, go to their "place" to stay, sit, down, come, and heel.  During several of our sessions, Chad brought a variety of dogs with him to run and play around our dogs, serving as distractions that they would need to learn to work through.  They now walk better off the leash than on it!

About midway through our training sessions, Glen and I, who are both US Marines, learned we would be deploying in the next few months to Iraq.  Chad offered to board and care for our dogs for the duration of our deployment-at NO cost to us!  It was his policy to care for his military clients' dogs when they were called overseas.  It was his way of saying Thank You for What You Do For Our Country.

Pawsitive Canine Dog Training was truly a lifesaver for us!  Chad is a very talented and skilled dog trainer who we recommend to anyone!
